No problem. No point spending money where you don't have to.

Let us know if the bellows fix the problem.

Very cool!! I'll do that. I really appreciate the help. The reason for
the work at the least amount of expense is that I may be putting car on the
market soon much to my sadness... but hey I appreciate your responses and
suggestions big guy!!

Take care,

Jim,

Pop your hood and feel your intake bellows. If it feels soft and squeezes
down easily, get a new one from your dealer. If the "squeeze test" isn't
conclusive for you, take out your air filter element and take a test run
down the highway (stay off dusty roads). The problem may not go away
completely during this test since the bellows may still partially collapse,
but you should see less bog. If you see an improvement, go get the new
bellows.

If you have access to a dyno and don't mind paying for that, you can also
watch the bellows at WOT and see if it collapses.

If collapsing bellows turns out not to be the problem, you could have any
one of several other potential problems. Fuel pump as Uly suggested,
clogged fuel filter, injectors, and possibly others not worth mentioning at
this stage.

Thanks for the suggestions Uly and Dennis!! One thing I would like to know
though. Would the tech be able to diagnose a problem like a faulty
injector? I guess what I would like to know I guess, is if I spend the
money on what you suggested and the issue still continues should I allow
them to hook it to a tech or just rip the plenum off and check them that
way?

Thanks,

Jim,

I would look into a Fuel Pump problem....it sounds like a definite symptom.
Follow the fuel pump troubleshooting in the manual.

Jim,

Based on what you've described, your flexible inlet air duct is probably
collapsing under full throttle. Either get a new one or reinforce it
internally. Mark Coplon may still sell stainless liners for them? Or you
can make your own.

Check your air filter, too. If it's dirty, it'll exacerbate the collapsing
problem.
