Yes, a sprung hub seems to help. I use a fidanza al. fw w/ the Camaro sprung hub kit from Carolina clutch. This set up does pretty well with damping. Of course there are still some noise (which you proabably already realize), but to me it is not bad at all. Good luck with it!
